hug, its good for you... and your bottom line

Picture

There seems to be a lot of hugging going on in football. While I can’t really make sense of a game where 20 men chase & kick a defenseless white ball around a grass field (I’m sure there’s a society against this form of cruelty somewhere), I think the hugging – both literally and figuratively – is one of the best things we could do as individuals and as a company.  And this goes to everyone from the entry level staff to our top management, customers and partners.

Hugging, like Jack Mitchell (Hug Your People by Jack Mitchell - Hyperion, 2008) says, can take the form of a physical hug, a pat on the back or just warm words or gestures which show you appreciate that person and their contributions to your world.

The team at Alien Logistics gets hugged a lot, and the hugs get passed on in a virtuous circle to others, helping us form good working relationships with the network of people we work with every day.

Hugs definitely are good for business and it helps with the bottom line as well. It shows when the home team and our extended team mates come together to work as a seamless entity leaving our customers pleasantly delighted at the service rendered that’s out of this world.

Well, I have to go now… I have some people to hug, places to go, and things to do!
