Dangerous cargo

Cargo are classified as Dangerous Goods (DG) when they pose a higher risk to health & safety than other cargo during transportation. When shipped or stored in large quantities, the risks range from explosions, fires, poisoning of people and the environment and beyond.

Sounds dangerous? The IATA & IMO think so too. These 2 organisations have issued guidelines on the safe handling & storage of dangerous cargo for air and sea transport respectively.

Oversized cargo
